Piercing Probe

The piercing-probe series is designed to pierce seals, vial closures, reagent reservoirs, sample reservoirs, and closed consumables for liquid extraction in automated instruments. The design can be customized for the piercing target, depth, liquid path, and venting requirements. Tip geometry, tube strength, vent direction, side-hole position, bend structure, and mounting method can be confirmed against the available equipment space, making the series suitable for analytical-instrument fluidic modules that require controlled piercing, liquid extraction, and venting.

Typical Applications:

seal-film piercing, vial-stopper piercing, Reagent-Well Aspiration, Sample-Well Aspiration, venting assistance, Closed Consumable Fluidic Path

Frequently Asked Questions

Sampling probes are mainly intended for liquid aspiration and dispensing, while piercing probes emphasize liquid access through seals, stoppers, or closed consumables. Tip strength, piercing angle, and venting structure usually need to be confirmed.

Yes. The vent direction, vent groove, side port, and liquid channel should be confirmed against the consumable structure and aspiration sequence to avoid unstable aspiration or air lock.

Provide the consumable structure, seal or stopper material, piercing depth, aspiration position, probe travel direction, installation space, and target fluid type.

Yes. Seal, rubber-stopper, plastic-cap, and other closed-consumable materials and thicknesses vary. Tip angle, cutting-edge direction, strength, and surface treatment must be reviewed to avoid unstable piercing, needle blockage, or debris entering the fluidic path.

Closed consumables can develop negative pressure or air lock during aspiration, affecting stability. A vent port, vent groove, or separate gas-liquid path can improve aspiration continuity and reduce the effect of bubbles on the downstream fluidic path.

Need to confirm the piercing-tip, venting, and liquid-draw structure?

Please provide the consumable structure, piercing target, piercing depth, venting direction, liquid-draw path, and available space. Foreach can help confirm a custom piercing-needle design.
