
Miniature Gas-Liquid Diaphragm Pumps for Waste Aspiration and Vacuum Handling
Foreach miniature gas-liquid diaphragm pumps are designed for fluidic systems where air and liquid may enter the tubing together or intermittently. Unlike conventional liquid-only pumps, the DPGL800 series can continue aspirating when the medium changes between gas and gas-liquid conditions, making it suitable for waste-fluid suction, tubing evacuation, and vacuum-generation duties. In evacuation and vacuum aspiration applications, these pumps are also known as miniature diaphragm vacuum pumps, removing gas from the system to establish the required negative pressure.
The DPGL800 delivers a no-load gas flow of 6 L/min per head, maximum positive pressure of approximately 30 kPa, and ultimate vacuum below −90 kPa. Select according to the required vacuum level, evacuation time, system volume, line resistance, and actual gas-liquid condition; do not treat 6 L/min as a liquid-flow rating.
In IVD diagnostics and laboratory instruments, this type of pump may also be described by its function as a waste liquid pump, waste aspiration pump, vacuum aspiration pump, or drainage pump. In printing and other mixed-media fluid systems, similar gas-liquid diaphragm pumps may also be used for ink recovery or waste-ink suction, depending on the actual circuit, operating conditions, and media compatibility.
